tiffany's at breakfast

just got done watching breakfast at tiffany's for the first time in my life, and i must say, i see what all the hype is about. although i'm quite scared to even walk into a tiffanys, i think that after seeing this movie i wouldn't mind going to tiffany's to just look around and see if it does anything for me. so the wrap up is: i wish you were more like audrey hepburn and i wish i was more like george peppard ! end of wrap up. you nameless slob !

reminiscing

so bet decided to re run the bet awards and i just watched kanye west perform, and it made me think of the best time of my life i had at the glow in the dark tour this summer. so to start off, not only was i in canada, where the tickets were like a hundred dollars cheaper, we were pretty much front row, and every performance was amazing, even rihanna who i'm not so much a fan of. the show started off with lupe fiasco, followed by n.e.r.d who in my opinion was second best to kanye. but at the risk of sounding like a groupie, i just have to say that i got to shake pharrells hand ! and even though this didn't make my night, my girlfriend had her night made when i pointed out hat we were sitting like ten feet away from chris brown, and also lupe fiasco. to make a long story short, the concert was amazing, from the line up to each performers set, to the loud screaming chick with the hair, it was the best i've ever been to, and i think the best ever for a long time to come. check out the pictures, i took them so it should give you somewhat of a good idea of how good the seats were. enjoy.

barstrucks

even with mr. gustav coming and all, today made for a good day to sit outside and enjoy some good ole starbucks. coffee is the nastiest drink ever so i had to go with thee grande vanilla bean frap, glazed donut, and last but not least, a lemon crumb bar, yum !

table for one please mama ninfa !

so when i first came to houston i had to find the nearest mexican restaurant, and the best one at that. so the word around town was that ninfas was pretty much the best, so not only did i get to eat at a ninfas, but the original one at that. i hadn't been in a while so decided to go out tonight, got the usual chicken chimichanga, heavy on the queso, and beans and rice, MmmMmmmm...i recommend you check it out if you're ever in the area.

merry x-mas, right ?!

so this issue has came to my attention, i think that we would all agree that when it comes christmas time we always have a list of all the goods we want, right ? and the purpose of this list is to let whoever it may concern know what you want as a present, right ? and we all get mad whenever we don't get those certain things we had on that list, right ? we open up that package expecting one of the things on that list, and all it is is underwear and tube socks. of course we act like were happy and thats just what we wanted, but really we are thinking to ourselves what am i going to do with another pair of gym socks.

so now that we got that part out of the way, let;s get into why i brought you here, why is that when you don't know what to get someone as a gift you ask them, cause who would have a better idea as to what someone wants other than that person ? well why is it that when you ask it turns out to be such a bad thing. they get mad at you like i don't want you to ask me what i want, you're just supposed to know and come up with your own idea. well aren't the odds kind of high that the present you get for them might be something that they won't like ? then you are back to where you started only with less money. so what are you supposed to do ? ask them what they want, and probably avoid getting the wrong present, and saving money ? or not asking, and getting the wrong present ? what would you do ?

nothing is new under the sun

hey you, yeah you over there wearing your brand new, exclusive, limited edition nikes with your jeans from sweden and your limited release tee, what is it that is so special about you ? is it that you have stuff that only a small number of people can get their hands on ? the fact that only the "cool" kids wear the stuff you have ? or just the fact that you think you're cooler than everyone else because you said so. well here's a news flash what you're doing has already been done, what you're wearing has already been worn, it may be new to you, but it's not really that new. "nothing is new under the sun" time after time the times will change from one thing to another. and once again you will change with them, whether you do so quickly, or you take your time. and if you don't adapt to these new fads then you will only be made fun of for not wearing what everyone else is.

not going to name drop cause it will sound a whole lot better not knowing who it came from, but a certain individual said it best,"i thought i was doing something different, but i really wasn't" and i think that's how a lot of us think, we think we are really something different, when in actuality we really aren't. it doesn't matter what music you listen to, what your favorite brand is, what you do for fun, because whatever it is, it doesn't make you any different from anyone else, no matter how hard you try to be different. whether you like white girls, black girls, asian, or hispanic, whether you like "scene" girls, punk girls, ghetto girls, or if you even like girls at all, you are still no different from the next person. to be blunt no one is just that special, sorry.

and for the record, yes, michael phelps is a good swimmer, great at that, but i promise you i won't be trying to marry a person just like him only because he won 8 gold medals at the olympics, and he seems to be so charming and positive when he's giving interviews on t.v, now that's just ridiculous, but someone actually said it, but hey that just goes to show you how people are when they think you are so much different and better than someone else. girls who never even heard of phelps all of a sudden are in love with him, but hey that's just how the cookie crumbles. but the fact of the matter is nothing is new under the sun.

in whomevers opinion everyone else will continue to dress stupid and everyone else will be dumb, everyone else will never understand what you are going through, cause you are oh so different right ? look we've all been there before, dressing differently, talking differently, acting differently, and even thinking differently, yes we all try and do it everyday whether we realize it or not, there are tons of other people out there that are doing the same exact thing, whether you see them or not it doesn't make it new or different. the point is you are just not that special, face it get over it and move on. (these ideas have been taken from real life events that i have either witnessed or read, please don't think this is directed to anyone person, because it is not, it is intended for everyone, to read, give their own input and take what they want from it)

the wonder years

the wonder years, the glory days, the good ole days, back in the day, whatever you'd like to call it, tomato tamato, those days are no longer here, no matter how much you talk about them and how hard you try to continue to live in those days, they are gone. "man remember that time in junior high when you threw that paper at the teacher ?" yea i was that kid, people who have not seen me in a long time still refer to me as that kid, no matter how many years have gone by to some people i'm still that kid. no matter how much i may have or not have changed were still the same person to people who remembered us when we were only youngsters. but some of still are no matter how old we are. with that said, no matter if you are just starting junior high, high school, college, or even your first day at the office, that always make a good first impression thing just might come in handy, hint hint ! good luck people.

the wonder years opening credits.

and date hot pornstars like this one...no lie.

where do we go from here ?

i have been faced with an on going dilemafor quite some time now,and that is that cartoons these days suck ! where have all the classics gone ? todays cartoons are full of garbage with very bad plots, bad scripts, and even worse artwork. i think i grew up when cartoons were at their prime. do any of you remember the originals, the good stuff ? well i do, i was hooked on: superfriends, superman, spiderman, thundarr the barbarian, the herculoids, space ghost, top cat, the flintstones, heathcliff, transformers, and can't forgot the jetsons...those were only a small handful of some of the good shows that they used to air. i think if it wasnt for the boomerang channel then i'd be doomed. a lad like myself just doesnt have any patience for these new cartoons that they play today, i will give some of the new ones credit, a few, but as a whole they are pure trash. I want stuff like the originals that we grew up on back. you know, where you had to stay tuned to see what happens next, where next week was a new villain and a new mystery, when you would sit with your eyes glued to the t.v. with your favorite action figure and copy whatever batman did. now those were the days. to be honest, i only see things getting worse from here on out. smh.

all the girls standing in the line for the bathroom !

from that paris, lindsay, britney, mary-kate, and whitney...a hundred dollar bills look atchu atchu !!! it seems that girls doing coke has almost become a rite of passage, a pop culture if you will. first they were drinking diet coke, now they on that coke diet. there is an enormously long list of famous women who have done coke, here's a few of the more popular names: noelle bush(neice of pres. bush) faith evans, jodie foster, kim mathers, kimora lee simmons, lindsay lohan, kate moss, and nicole ritchie. now i can't say i relate but i can say i understand. girls see people like britney spears and amy winehouse sniffing coke, they want to do it too. when i was growing up i remembered i wanted to be "be like mike," so naturally i wanted jordans. so its only right that all the young, and older girls that are fans of these such people want to do what they're doing which in some circumstances is sniffing cocaine. so remember, next time you see "all the girls standing in the line for the bathroom" trust me, everyone nose !

in my mind: entry 1

as i sit here thinking about my own thoughts, and going into my thoughts thoughts, i wonder why do i think the way i do. i ask myself what am i doing ? where am i going ? who am i ? do i even know who i am ? do you know who you are ? i live life from day to day as if i'm just floating on a cloud and breezing through life. why am i here ? why are you here ? i ask myself if i could see emotions what would they look like, do they have a certain color, do they smell different from other emotions and feelings. who knows, maybe your love smells different than mine does, maybe my orange juice tastes like apple juice and your apple juice tatses like milk. does anyone really know the answers to any of these questions, has anyone ever even asked them ? as i pause to say: i know some of you are like what is this dude talking about, but i know there's a few of you who are like yea, maybe i thought about one or two of those things. now back to whatever this is. i've always wondered what it would be like to be famous, how are their lives, don't they ever stop and ask themselves what it is they're really doing here, or there. do they ever have time to think when they're constantly on the road and flying from state to state and country to country. but then again don't we all have time to think ? but how often is it that you really do something about your thoughts, i'm not talking about i think i'm going to start dressing punk, so you go out and buy studded belts and die your hair black, i'm talking about changing the way you think, seeing things in different colors, doing things you want and not what everyone else thinks you should do. i know i'm going on and off topic, but the truth is there is no topic, i'm pretty much freestyling my own thoughts right now, trying to remember what i was thinking about thirteen seconds ago. as i come to another random thought that i just came to, i wonder if i will remember what it is as i am getting to typing it. i speak english, so my thoughts are in english, if i was chinese or japanese(languages that use symbols) how do they see their thoughts ? how do they appear in their minds. now i know nothing about being an animal, but i do know they think on their own, but what i don't know is how they think and how there thoughts look. do you think they resemble human thoughts ? or are their thought patterns on a totally different wave length ? well as i slow down my mind and get back to what i originally posted this for, who controls your thoughts ? do you or do the people you're trying to be like ? all of you have your own mind, so take it where you want it to be. with that being said i'm going back to that pink spongy thing in my head.

back to the...

writing the previous post made me realize how much i miss my childhood days, locked in my room reading comic books all day, spiderman, superman, batman, the hulk, the punisher only to name a few of the main ones you guys would even be able to recognize. i can see the action figures laying on my floor, the wwf figurines and the ring where i simulated many drop kicks and upper cuts to shawn michaels. i remember flying with batman all around the house, waking up saturday morning with a bowl of cereal and tuned into spiderman, and even walking down to the comic book store with scraped up change to barely by a new spiderman comic book. to me this was the life, now that i'm all "grown" up i find it harder and harder to enjoy the things i once enjoyed in my earlier years. even though i still have many of my comics and my action figures i feel as though there off limits for me to even touch them, but trust me i've crossed those boundaries plenty of times. [so the entire page wasn't taken up i kept everything short, that's not all by a long shot ;)]

lego my lego !

so i'm just going to go on record and say that i miss playing with legos. once introduced to me at a very young age they set my mind free. when i was younger i went to all the lego art exhibits that i could go to, even the infamous lego land, where i got my official lego drivers license ! but unfortunately my reign ended around my freshman year in high school, went on and off for a bit until it completely ended around my junior year. now most of you would say that that's too old to be playing with toys, but not me, legos really helped me build my creativity and expand my mind with tons of possibilities. what i am trying to say out of all this is that i wish i didn't think i was too cool to still play with legos at an age where most people weren't doing such things. i wish i would have said forget what everyone else thinks and do what i like doing. since i have stopped playing with legos my creative side has slowly slipped away from me, but luckily i wasn't too dumb to stop everything that i thought i was too cool for. so with that being said, keep snapping those legos together, keep playing those computer games, keep collecting the action figures, don't throw away the comic books and last but not least don't feel your too cool for anything.

the windy city

so chicago was one of my few summer trips this year, and i have to say that this city is beautiful, the atmosphere, the people, the whole city in itself was amazing. i was really excited to go, but had no idea what i was getting myself into.(all pictures were taken by me)
the city's landscapes were breath taking, i think new york still has my vote, but chicago is like new york, only cleaner, and the people aren't as mean. but if you haven't been here yet then i would surely add this to the to of things to do in the near future list.
our first stop was millennium park, to me it was the best part of the trip, i kept going back just to get more peaks at all the well designed architecture that had here, this is just one the many sights they had to offer.
the "jellybean" was the most coolest thing i seen here, i took so many pictures of this it wasn't funny. it was like a gigantic mirror , or even a chrome jellybean if you will. some of you may even notice this from kanye wests' homecoming video. but this is my favorite picture i must say, other than the tourists in the pictures just look at the buildings in the background, it's just amazing.
this was another cool sight at millennium park, it was like a giant t.v. screen that displayed pictures of little children, and the pictures would change every so often, and it's hard to tell but this was also a little water park, the pictures of the kids would spit out a stream of water onto the kids that were running around.

chicago, chi town, the windy city, second city, or just chicago, whatever you want to call it, make sure you visit here some day if you haven't already.

(dukes in)cub scout your out !

is it just me or have i not seen her at my door step, my local grocer, or even pulling her wagon down my street ? ever since moving to houston i've yet to see a girl scout selling my delicious treats, shortbreads that is. i wish i knew where to find her at because its pasttime for my yearly installment of girl scout cookies...

the grass is always greener

i have been getting a few responses from you guys as to what exactly this blog is about, well to answer those questions, this blog isn't really about one particular thing or another, in fact it is mainly a collection of my thoughts broadcast in words and pictures. i just want to give you guys a little something to read, and possibly some entertainment, nothing more nothing less. hopefully my posts so far have been somewhat insightful, and i will continue to keep or at least try to keep you somewhat entertained, thanks for looking those who do and feel free to leave me a comment or hit me up with questions, answers or just thoughts.

e6 g4 or f11 ?

ok so i thought that getting a delightful treat such as a hostess cupcake, ho-ho, or even the ever so popular twinkie was always easy to get your hands on whenever on the go, but it turns out that these aren't the only goodies that vending machines have to offer these days. many of you who have been to just about all major airports, have probably noticed the vending machine that vends such items as ipods ! yes that's correct, you can now get an ipod from a vending machine. not only is the ipod the only available treat, but you can choose from digital cameras to head phones to even batteries. does it takes quarters you ask, nope just the simple swipe of thee plastic and it's yours for the keeping. don't really know what the difference is between them being sold at a store or from a vending machine, but hey whatever makes another persons job easier, right ?

fritos doritos, or cheetos ?

although i'm not particulary too fond of cheetos, i love doritos and fritos, they go best with sandwiches, hot dogs, or just by themselves. yeah, these chips are tasty, but when it comes to the chips the government is handing out, they don't really go too well with a turkey on rye with extra mayo. even though for some of you this is a fairly old concept, but i know there are many of you who are unaware of the powers that be. what i mean by this is the governments plan that has already been put into play, to place tiny micro chips into people. not cooler ranch doritos, or even chili cheese fritos, but micro chips that are inserted into you to act as identity cards. now i don't know about you guys, but i keep my identity in my wallet, not inserted in my arm. i don't need a chip telling me information i should already know, further more, how could this be considered a security measure ? i can't say i'd feel very safe knowing that some else is keeping track of my finances and personal info, but will i have a choice in the fu, i mean now. once again i will not be sharing my full thoughts on this topic, that will be left for your brains.

irobot or yourobot ?

seems that in this day and age everything is run by robots, are robots taking over ? we have all seen the matrix and heard about the whole rage against the machine concept, but is the rage against the machine or are the machines raging against us ? every time i see a commercial it's about a new and improved robot to make our lives more...well whatever they are supposed to do. but i don't remember the last time i seen a new and improved human being advertised, do you ? the way i see it is that people buy machines so that they can be controlled by them, and that is just what happens. the question is are robots to blame or are we ? i would share my thoughts, but i think it's better if you do that yourself, instead of letting me think for you.
