back to the...

writing the previous post made me realize how much i miss my childhood days, locked in my room reading comic books all day, spiderman, superman, batman, the hulk, the punisher only to name a few of the main ones you guys would even be able to recognize. i can see the action figures laying on my floor, the wwf figurines and the ring where i simulated many drop kicks and upper cuts to shawn michaels. i remember flying with batman all around the house, waking up saturday morning with a bowl of cereal and tuned into spiderman, and even walking down to the comic book store with scraped up change to barely by a new spiderman comic book. to me this was the life, now that i'm all "grown" up i find it harder and harder to enjoy the things i once enjoyed in my earlier years. even though i still have many of my comics and my action figures i feel as though there off limits for me to even touch them, but trust me i've crossed those boundaries plenty of times. [so the entire page wasn't taken up i kept everything short, that's not all by a long shot ;)]

lego my lego !

so i'm just going to go on record and say that i miss playing with legos. once introduced to me at a very young age they set my mind free. when i was younger i went to all the lego art exhibits that i could go to, even the infamous lego land, where i got my official lego drivers license ! but unfortunately my reign ended around my freshman year in high school, went on and off for a bit until it completely ended around my junior year. now most of you would say that that's too old to be playing with toys, but not me, legos really helped me build my creativity and expand my mind with tons of possibilities. what i am trying to say out of all this is that i wish i didn't think i was too cool to still play with legos at an age where most people weren't doing such things. i wish i would have said forget what everyone else thinks and do what i like doing. since i have stopped playing with legos my creative side has slowly slipped away from me, but luckily i wasn't too dumb to stop everything that i thought i was too cool for. so with that being said, keep snapping those legos together, keep playing those computer games, keep collecting the action figures, don't throw away the comic books and last but not least don't feel your too cool for anything.

the windy city

so chicago was one of my few summer trips this year, and i have to say that this city is beautiful, the atmosphere, the people, the whole city in itself was amazing. i was really excited to go, but had no idea what i was getting myself into.(all pictures were taken by me)
the city's landscapes were breath taking, i think new york still has my vote, but chicago is like new york, only cleaner, and the people aren't as mean. but if you haven't been here yet then i would surely add this to the to of things to do in the near future list.
our first stop was millennium park, to me it was the best part of the trip, i kept going back just to get more peaks at all the well designed architecture that had here, this is just one the many sights they had to offer.
the "jellybean" was the most coolest thing i seen here, i took so many pictures of this it wasn't funny. it was like a gigantic mirror , or even a chrome jellybean if you will. some of you may even notice this from kanye wests' homecoming video. but this is my favorite picture i must say, other than the tourists in the pictures just look at the buildings in the background, it's just amazing.
this was another cool sight at millennium park, it was like a giant t.v. screen that displayed pictures of little children, and the pictures would change every so often, and it's hard to tell but this was also a little water park, the pictures of the kids would spit out a stream of water onto the kids that were running around.

chicago, chi town, the windy city, second city, or just chicago, whatever you want to call it, make sure you visit here some day if you haven't already.

(dukes in)cub scout your out !

is it just me or have i not seen her at my door step, my local grocer, or even pulling her wagon down my street ? ever since moving to houston i've yet to see a girl scout selling my delicious treats, shortbreads that is. i wish i knew where to find her at because its pasttime for my yearly installment of girl scout cookies...

the grass is always greener

i have been getting a few responses from you guys as to what exactly this blog is about, well to answer those questions, this blog isn't really about one particular thing or another, in fact it is mainly a collection of my thoughts broadcast in words and pictures. i just want to give you guys a little something to read, and possibly some entertainment, nothing more nothing less. hopefully my posts so far have been somewhat insightful, and i will continue to keep or at least try to keep you somewhat entertained, thanks for looking those who do and feel free to leave me a comment or hit me up with questions, answers or just thoughts.

e6 g4 or f11 ?

ok so i thought that getting a delightful treat such as a hostess cupcake, ho-ho, or even the ever so popular twinkie was always easy to get your hands on whenever on the go, but it turns out that these aren't the only goodies that vending machines have to offer these days. many of you who have been to just about all major airports, have probably noticed the vending machine that vends such items as ipods ! yes that's correct, you can now get an ipod from a vending machine. not only is the ipod the only available treat, but you can choose from digital cameras to head phones to even batteries. does it takes quarters you ask, nope just the simple swipe of thee plastic and it's yours for the keeping. don't really know what the difference is between them being sold at a store or from a vending machine, but hey whatever makes another persons job easier, right ?

fritos doritos, or cheetos ?

although i'm not particulary too fond of cheetos, i love doritos and fritos, they go best with sandwiches, hot dogs, or just by themselves. yeah, these chips are tasty, but when it comes to the chips the government is handing out, they don't really go too well with a turkey on rye with extra mayo. even though for some of you this is a fairly old concept, but i know there are many of you who are unaware of the powers that be. what i mean by this is the governments plan that has already been put into play, to place tiny micro chips into people. not cooler ranch doritos, or even chili cheese fritos, but micro chips that are inserted into you to act as identity cards. now i don't know about you guys, but i keep my identity in my wallet, not inserted in my arm. i don't need a chip telling me information i should already know, further more, how could this be considered a security measure ? i can't say i'd feel very safe knowing that some else is keeping track of my finances and personal info, but will i have a choice in the fu, i mean now. once again i will not be sharing my full thoughts on this topic, that will be left for your brains.

irobot or yourobot ?

seems that in this day and age everything is run by robots, are robots taking over ? we have all seen the matrix and heard about the whole rage against the machine concept, but is the rage against the machine or are the machines raging against us ? every time i see a commercial it's about a new and improved robot to make our lives more...well whatever they are supposed to do. but i don't remember the last time i seen a new and improved human being advertised, do you ? the way i see it is that people buy machines so that they can be controlled by them, and that is just what happens. the question is are robots to blame or are we ? i would share my thoughts, but i think it's better if you do that yourself, instead of letting me think for you.
